Monkey socks: completed

I never thought I'd actually finish these. ha! yeah right, I knew I would, they just seemed to be taking f.o.r.e.v.e.r. and a day. amazing how different each sock looks because of how the striping appears.

here's my monkey sock for the monkey sock swap...this is three repeats of the pattern into it.

The basics:
How long have you been knitting? about 2.5 years

Do you consider yourself a beginning sock knitter, an intermediate, or have you been doing this so long you could probably knit a pair in your sleep? beginning- I only started socks in January.

Shoe Size: 6

Foot circumference: about 7 inches

Foot length: 8.5 inches from heel to big toe

What colors do you love? purple, blue, orange

Do you prefer solids or variegated? doesn't really matter

Do you prefer wool, cotton or acrylic yarn? cotton

What colors would you never wear? pink

Monkey Socks: take 3

first sock of my Monkey socks, these are too tight for me so they're being gifted to a friend.
I used size 1 dpn's and Lion Brand Yarn Microstripes: denim stripe

here's a better picture of the monkey socks, this is the back and you can see the turned heel a bit. I've a little more done now than in this picture.

Monkey Socks: take 1

the ribbing and the first four repeats of the Monkey Sock pattern. two more repeats and then I start the heel. I'll try to get a better picture tomorrow after I finish the other repeats.

Monkey Socks

Monkey socks will be my next knitting project as soon as I find out what yarn my friend wants used for them. This will be my first step into a non-basic sock pattern, here's hoping it goes well and she likes her socks!
