My next two projects will be another set of socks and an afghan. The socks are called Anastasia Socks. They will be knitted on size 1 DPN's *faint* I'm sure they'll take f.o.r.e.v.e.r. to knit, but the end product looks worth it. I'll be using Lion Brand Yarn's Magic Stripes: Denim Stripes. Definitely anxious to see how these turn out. They'll be my first pair of socks starting from the toe up.
My other project will be a crocheted afghan for a friend's wedding present. Yeah, I know its not a knitting project, but it will probably take me longer than anything else I've ever worked on. I'll be making the Shadow Box Throw using Caron Simply Soft: Bone. Here's hoping it turns out well and our friends really like their gift.

and a hat...
this is the first hat I knit on double pointed needles (dpn's). I learned how to do a seed stitch and the ribbing stitch (finally). I used the same yarn I used to make the socks. This is the pattern I used, I ended up making it a bit shorter than I'd need for myself, so I gave it to my niece who was tickled to have it.
My first pair of socks
I made my first pair of socks using this pattern. I used Red Heart Super Saver Yarn in Berries. Overall I was rather pleased with how they came out. I couldn't figure out the ribbing so just skipped it, so the tops roll down a bit, but I've crocheted around the top now just to keep it from rolling down.
now for all those knitting projects...
well...maybe this will encourage me to finish all the projects I have on needles...I do have pictures of finished projects so I'll post those later.
